Hiking in the mountains around Katschberg-Rennweg and in the Lungau region
The diverse mountain landscape on the Katschberg between Carinthia and Salzburg, in the middle of the Hohe Tauern & Nockberge National Parks, makes every hiking heart beat faster! Around 200 km of marked hiking trails, between 900 and 3,100 m lead not only to enchanting places and rustic alpine pastures, but also to inner balance for many.
Whether on a leisurely hike along the Bach Experience Trail in the Pölla Tal – past crystal clear mountain streams or a challenging summit tour, you can enjoy a unique nature experience and a fantastic view.
The clear signage system and the free hiking map show you the most beautiful hikes on the Katschberg. Experience the country and people from the most beautiful side – preferably with the free hiking program on the Katschberg.
On our cosy huts you can expect culinary delicacies such as the “Yellow Suppn”, sweet Kaiserschmarrn or hearty jausen with bacon and farmer’s bread, lovingly served with Carinthian hospitality.
